Tufnell Park Primary School

New identity and website at an exciting time for the school

I was asked by Tufnell Park Primary School to help them design a new identity and website at a time where the school was undertaking an exciting new expansion. The school was moving into a brand new building and the design output and website needed to match the new modern look. The new identity draws on work already started by the architects to ensure a consistent appearance in and around the school and on all print and digital output.

The new logo draws inspiration from the nature around the school site: a prominent tree in the playground, and the tree trunk in the form of a frog’s foot inspired by the active pond in the courtyard.

The architectural practice, Haverstock, had already started working on the building design so we expanded on their work to produce an overall identity that would be consistent. This would then match across the exterior signage, wayfinding, building patterns, floor colours, school uniforms and all print and digital output.

The website was designed and built to allow parents and prospective parents to find the information they need as quickly and easily as possible and was selected to be featured in ‘The Best School Web Designs’ by DesignRush.
